Within the ASIO project the application of Natural Language Processing is investigated with respect to information retrieval dialogues. Focus within the project is on Dialogue Management with respect to these human-computer dialogues. The domain in which these information retrieval dialogues take place is information concerning Dutch public transport services, including train, bus, tram, and subway.
ASIO is a Dutch acronym which stands for Automatic Speech recognition applied to Information presentation about Public Transport ("Automatische Spraakherkenning bij het geven van Informatie over het Openbaar Vervoer").
