Within the Alparon project the application of Natural Language Processing is investigated with respect to information retrieval dialogues. Focus within the project is on Dialogue Management with respect to these human-computer dialogues. The domain in which these information retrieval dialogues take place is information concerning Dutch public transport services, including train, bus, tram, and subway.
