Abstract

This report is a progress report on the analysis of OVR related log files. It describes information that can be extracted from three sources: the OVR log files, the VIOS data, and the DUT corpus. The latter two are much smaller and contain information about nicknames for stations, while the OVR log files contain the information about an entire year of all OVR call centers. The total amount of data of those OVR log files is about 5 GB.

In this report the marginal distribution of stations are described together with their nicknames. Furthermore, the connection frequencies are described in detail. Besides the nominal frequencies, also the symmetrical behavior, and the statistical dependencies are investigated. We will also describe some pilot studies which still have to be done in the final version.

In the appendices raw data about the marginal distribution of arrival stations, departure station, and both arrival and departure station is given. Furthermore, the frequencies of nicknames and stations based on the three sources is given, and finally the most frequent connections are presented.
