Abstract

By order of OVR, the company in the Netherlands that provides public transport travel information for the entire country, the Alparon research group at the Delft University of Technology has examined a large corpus of over 5000 human-human dialogues recorded at call centers of OVR. The study has led to a coding scheme, that describes for each utterance the dialogue act that it expresses and the information elements that it contains. This report will describe a short pilot study to the usability of these codes for the development of an automised dialogue manager.
