Abstract

This report evaluates repair strategies that VIOS, a telephone based travel information system, exhibits during the query phase of an information dialogue with a human user. The evaluation is based on a corpus of 202 man-machine dialogues, recorded at the Technical University of Delft (TUD) and a parallel corpus of 202 man-man dialogues recorded at the Public Transport Information Service (OVR). The report will end with some recommendations for improvement.
